TRAVEL JOURNAL: VIGAN DAY TOUR

Things and Places in Vigan
The year 2016 is indeed a good one for me. And I would like to thank God for gracing me so much blessings and positive vibes the whole year. And as a reward for all the hard work and efforts, we decided to go out of town.
Normally, our family only stayed and celebrate the holidays at home. But this time we planned on going on a trip. And we're going North!!! We left Manila at around 2am of Dec. 29, 2016 and arrived in Vigan at around 11am. The travel time took us more than 8hours with stop overs for bathroom and eating. Good thing that the weather is not too hot nor too cold.
The next day we went to Calle Crisologo, the famous heritage place in town. Where,
The ancestral houses built on this village are properties of Filipino-Chinese traders during the Spanish Era. They became prominent in buying and selling abel cloth, tobacco, gold, and other merchandise to local and foreign merchants.
Tourist can either walk along Calle Crisologo or ride the well known Kalesa. They say you need to pay for P180 and it can take you around the place for 30mins or an hour I think.
Not only that you will see the houses on how strong and sturdy they're made of. Vigan is a city in the Philippines, on the west coast of Luzon island. It's known for its well-preserved Spanish colonial and Asian architecture. Calle Crisologo dominates the Mestizo district, with its cobblestone streets, malecón, horse-drawn carriages and rustic mansions.
Along Calle Crisologo, you will see a lot of souvenir stores where they offer specialties of their town. The famous Vigan Longganisa, Tobacco and empanada was sold in each and every stores there.
Sorry was not able to took pictures of some restaurants, but they're just along the way you can see them..
How about you, have you been to Vigan? Let me know how was your experience. :)
